Bronx Community Builds Tribe Connections
A unique Tribal Messiahship event, called “Tribal Leadership: Connecting Elected Officials and Law Enforcement with the Bronx Neighborhood,” took place on March 30, 2017.
The main theme of the event was “Connect, Organize, and Act.” The speakers who attended were New York City Councilman Fernando Cabrera, Charisse Suarez, representing New York State Assemblyman Jose Rivera, community officers of the New York Police Department (NYPD) 52nd Precinct neighborhood, and the FFWPU District 2 pastor, Rev. Edner Pierre-Louis.
Rev. Esteban Galvan, chairman of the Bronx Unification community, facilitated the attentive gathering of local residents and business owners. An enthusiastic martial arts presentation by local Unificationist youth began the event, with Vincent Belmonte, Bronx chair of the Filipino International Community of America (FICA), supervising.
The meeting was a unified effort by the Bronx blessed families to work together as proud representatives of True Parents. Everyone left with a positive feeling to keep working together to improve relationships and connectedness in our wider community.
