On Thursday, March 9, one of our guests, Andrea, invited us to tour different museums in San José.
“I met Andrea during the second week of witnessing in Costa Rica, and it took a long time before we could meet again. Every time we would make an appointment, either she couldn’t make it or I was sick, and it was frustrating, but I didn’t want to give up on her. When we finally met again, she shared a lot about herself that made me realize that God hadn’t given up on her, either, and that touched my heart. The other American missionaries and I had the opportunity to go the center of San José to visit different museums, and Andrea joined us. She wanted to make it the best experience for us, showing us around and explaining the different art pieces and I felt so proud of her. Experiencing that, I realized that God is also proud of us–for how far all of us have grown. Through her, I experienced a parental heart and received God’s love, too.” –Sasha Okon
On Saturday, March 11, we held a one-day Divine Principle Seminar at the Costa Rica Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) center. The lecturer, Señora Daisy, gave presentations on the Principles of Creation and the Human Fall. There were five people at the seminar who learned about the Divine Principle for the very first time.
On Sunday March 12, we met with the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) Continental Director of Central America Señor Sang Seok Kim.
“We received a huge honor and blessing to meet and learn from Rev. Kim. He mentioned about how historical and monumental it is for us as American CIG missionaries to testify to True Parents.… He expressed [his hopes for us as] a caring father who has deeply grown his heart to embody an embracing and overwhelming love. Simply put, I felt joy through this love. This short meeting reignited the excitement within me of how important a mission we are undertaking and what we represent–America’s hope, God’s hope, and True Parents’ hope. I just simply yet strongly desire to fulfill my determination to share the love of God and True Parents as a family to my brothers and sisters, keeping in my heart the heart Rev. Kim shared with us. Thank you.” –Kengo Kawa
