Preview of True Parents’ Life Exhibit

True Mother and members of True Parents’ family were joined by international Unificationist leaders and Universal Peace Academy (UPA) cadets for the opening of a special exhibit at the Cheongshim Peace World Center on February 1, 2017.
The exhibit chronicles True Parents’ lifework, displaying historic photos and videos of their life course and ministry. Divided into eight sections that wind around an outer corridor of the Peace World Center, the exhibit showcases True Parents’ marriage and early family life as well as their efforts to unite the world, establish Cheon Il Guk (God’s Kingdom), and create a global, filial culture of heart. True Mother and family walked the length of the exhibit to preview its contents before the Peace World Center opens to the public on February 2 for the celebration of True Parents’ 97th and 74th birthdays.
“Mother, May You Blossom” is a supplemental theme of the exhibit, highlighted by a massive acrylic painting now set in the lobby of the Peace World Center. The painting, titled “Cheon-Su-Do”—translating literally to “one thousand long life picture”—is nearly 30 feet long, just over five feet high, and depicts exactly 100 cranes in various stages of flight at sunrise. Unificationist Kyutae Kim and his team created the painting in honor of True Mother, whose name bears the character hak (crane). A large screen displaying a video summary of the different sections concludes the exhibit.
After watching the final video, True Mother and her family proceeded to an early screening and rehearsal of this year’s celebratory musical, which will premiere during the international celebration of True Parents’ Birthday tonight at 8:00 pm (EST).
Stay tuned at familyfed.org for more updates from the American delegation, including the Korean debut of the new FFWPU USA band Apple Heaven USA at the Hyo Jeong Peace Festival at midnight (EST) or 2:00 p.m. (KST).
