Youth Welcome the New Year at Joint Winter Workshop

The high school winter workshop for the San Francisco and Los Angeles Unification communities was held at the Holy Redeemer Conference Center in the heart of Oakland between Christmas and New Year’s. One hundred forty youth and staff gathered under the theme of “We are Fire” and had a fun time of exciting games, sports, deep discussions, and entertainment. District 11 Pastor Rev. Kevin Thompson and local youth ministry leader Josh Holmes gave the lectures, morning services, and talks on faith. The spirit was high, and the workshop was a great way to close 2016 and prepare for the year of the Rooster with hope and commitment.
