16th Annual International Celebration of Christmas
On Sunday, December 18, volunteers from the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) and the Los Angeles Family Church joined nine other churches for an international, intercultural and interdenominational reenactment of the first Christmas.
Churchgoers gathered at the Old World Village in Huntington Beach, California at 5:00pm for an evening of song and celebration. The program, which featured a live nativity play, highlighted traditions from around the world, including Germany, Japan, Korea, Latin America, Samoa, Vietnam, Sweden, and Kenya. The audience enjoyed a night filled with talented music and dance. At times, they even had the opportunity to sing along to much-loved Christmas carols.
Admission to the event was free, but proceeds and donations went to benefit World Vision, an international humanitarian organization that provides families in need with agricultural assistance, clean water, farm animals, and the opportunity to support and feed themselves. Find them online here or on Facebook.
Everyone had a great time rejoicing in the birth of Jesus and the true spirit of Christmas at this meaningful celebration.
