In the beautiful setting of Hyo Jeong Cheonwon, he Autumn Cheongpyeong Great Works was held from October 21-23. Thirty-thousand people from 60 nations gather for activities, which included a special lecture given by International Family Federation President Sun Jin Moon, who encouraged Blessed Families to inherit and practice True Parents’ life and love. True Mother also addressed the gathering, reminding us of our identity and our task going forward to 2020.

Around the nation this week we celebrated the 29th Foundation Day for the Unified Nation of Heaven and Earth Celebration and 57th True Children’s Day. We also celebrated the kickoff for the 100-day devotion period in preparation for Foundation Day, a time of prayer and setting the foundation of a culture of faith and heart as we work toward Vision 2020.

With the participation of 18 guests from around the USA, the 2nd 7-day Spanish Workshop took place in Las Vegas from October 24-30. The workshop was directed by Richard De Sena with the support of John Arias, Monica Vallejo and Claudelina Smith.

The New Jersey Ocean Church completed a 21-day fishing condition on October 30th, to welcome True Parents back to America in late November and to create deeper connections between elder and younger Unificationists. The group spent most of their time fishing on the East River, where True Father was often known to go fishing. By the end of the condition, those who went out were able to catch more than 50 Striped Bass over 28 inches, 7 of which were over 40 inches. Captain Kensaku Takahashi felt the condition to be a great success.

New England’s autumnal splendor was the setting of the seventh Energize! Couples Retreat, where 34 couples hailing from as far as Virginia and Montreal joined together in historic Portsmouth, New Hampshire, from October 28 to 30, 2016. Couples together for over 40 years mingled with those newly blessed as they engaged in activities to refresh their connection and spend quality time, while bonding more deeply as a faith community.
