Cheongshim Academy Seeks Social Science/English Teacher
Cheongshim International Academy (CSIA) is now accepting applications for the full-time position of a Social Science and English teacher. The primary responsibility of the position is to teach and support eighth through twelfth grade students in a boarding school environment. Students are typically dual language students with fluency in writing and speaking English.
Cheongshim International Academy is a private school in South Korea located in Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province. It is one of the most prestigious schools in the region, nurturing its students to develop a deep respect and empathy for humanity and the environment. It currently consists of a middle school and a high school and seeks to foster well-rounded global leaders.
Necessary Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Majoring in the relevant subject
- Capable of teaching subjects in English
- Teaching during a specialized English Camp on summer and winter vacations
- Average work day runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- CSIA may not hire any applicant who has grounds for being disqualified for employment under Korean law
- For international applicants, necessary documents for a visa application are required (including a criminal history record apostilled (within the validity date) and a college diploma apostilled and notarized)
Benefits & Compensation
- Annual salary: KRW 35,000,000-45,000,000 / USD 30,000-39,000 (Salaray is negotiable depending on the academic background and working experience of the applicant)
- Healthcare and National Pension are covered
- Overtime pay for after-school programs is available
- Contract period: 1 year
Housing
Dormitory housing, including a private dorm room and bathroom, and meals are provided free of charge. Family members will not be allowed to live in the dormitory.

I would like to apply but before I do I need to know is thwre an age limit. I zam 65 years old and retired from teaching from the Los Angeles Unified School district.
