Peace Club to Host Women’s Soccer Workshop

Peace Club was founded by Unificationist Robin Graham as a way to empower young people to promote peace and develop character through playing soccer. This year’s Peace Club workshop for female leaders and coaches of women’s soccer will coincide with the first ever women’s FIFA World Cup event to take place in the Middle East. Peace Club organizers describe the upcoming workshop as follows:
“Peace Club builds local capacity, training women leaders who use sports when working with youth. The “Champions in Life” workshop will bring together women coaches from local youth clubs, football clubs, sports clubs and community organizations. These coaches then receive certification that they can competently present the [Peace Club] material, and pass on the skills they have learned. The vision is to create positive change through sport and to build strong and sustainable communities.”
The workshop will run from August 27-29, at the Queen Rania Center in Amman, Jordan. Take a moment to support this meaningful endeavor to spread peace and empower women through sports by donating today!
