A Historical and Miraculous Day

Ten years ago, June 13, 2006, was a memorable and special day in the providence of God. On that day, thousands of representatives of every nation in the world assembled to support True Parents as they officially opened the Cheon Jeong Gung, the Peace Museum, and to offer the building and all it represents to God, the King of Peace. In a moving ceremonial spectacle, crowns representing God’s authority over the nations of the world and the clans of Korea were presented in front of True Parents.
“It was my privilege to be in the audience that day, and as True Parents offered the dedication prayer together, I had a vision of King Solomon dedicating the temple of Jerusalem, beseeching Almighty God to come and be present with his people (1 Kings 8),” recounted Dr. Michael Balcomb, FFWPU USA President. “Like Solomon, Father and Mother tearfully acknowledging that the Infinite doesn’t need finite structures but rather wants to live in the hearts and minds of his children.”
True Father himself was very clear about the significance of the event, saying “If you truly knew what this day means, you wouldn’t be able to sit still, but would go throughout the world singing songs of praise and dancing in ecstasy!” In his speech, he went on to outline the seven main duties of every citizen of the kingdom of God, and urged us to recommit to live that way.

True Mother gave a similar message on July 16, 2016 at the 10th anniversary celebration of this event. “If people around the world know the way True Parents work, they will be blurred with tears,” she said. True Mother’s own eyes filled with tears as she explained the significance of this milestone in God’s providence.

At the same time, an international conference is going on in Korea, a major step toward Vision 2020. Dr. Michael Balcomb explains, “True Mother promised God she’d build the literal kingdom of heaven, and that by 2020 she’d restore seven nations. FFWPU leaders of 21 nations are currently in Korea giving presentations about why their nation can be a champion nation.”Also in Korea for this occasion were current participants of the international workshop in Cheongpyeong, who had the chance to listen to True Mother’s address and shared their reflections on True Mother’s message:
Just to see True Mother shedding tears asking if there is anyone that can say that they’ve fulfilled their responsibility, and no one to answer have made me reflect a lot. I’ve come to a realization that no matter what, I’m going to become a global leader that can make both my physical parents and True Parents proud of.

After watching True Mother’s video, I understood the importance of having the True Parents here and because of them we the people of this world have come to understand the truth.
-Dennis Livingstone, Las Vegas USA
In True Mother’s speech, what impacted me the most was when she was crying, and if we could really see and understand True Parents’ life course, we’d be crying just like her. This really showed how much of a suffering course this was. What I took away from this speech is that we really need to connect to God’s will as much as possible, be it our dreams, goals, and future. This can really connect us to True Parents’ and Heavenly Parent’s providence as well as help us move the providence forward.
-Benjamin Buergi, San Francisco USA
What impacted me the most about True Mother’s speech was when she said, if we understand True Parents’ course, our eyes will blur with tears. When True Mother began to shed tears I felt repentful for all the moments when I had judged True Parents and the movement. I would many times complain about the difficult path that I walked as a second generation living in a self-centered culture. I want to remember True Mother’s words when I am faced with the challenges in faith and temptations when I go back home and continue university. I want to grow my heart to understand True Parents’ course.
-Angelica Moraes, Las Vegas USA
I’m really grateful for True Mother’s sincere words, accompanied by tears that really moved my heart and motivated me to do my best in becoming a warrior for God and the True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind!

I feel like True Mother is experiencing a really hard time right now, but I’m proud of her because she’s strong. There is a lot of pressure on all of us right now. But we always have to remember what God did to come to this very point. Together we have to truly believe that there is a better world, which God has in store for us. He wants us back. He misses us. It’s been so long. It is finally time to get back to God. I don’t know how it’s going to happen. But I truly believe it’s coming soon. We have to fight together and stand together for one last time. Then we’re one forever.

Within this fallen world, owned by the means of Satan, we as blessed children of God and True Parents must devote our lives to fulfilling our responsibility. By protecting our sacred lineage and fighting evil, we can restore God’s providence and set the original ideal for humankind. Just as communism was eradicated after a fierce proclamation claiming so, we will eventually establish heaven on earth. As long as we harness our faith and sincerity toward God and True Parents, nothing will stand in our way. The precious chosen nations that have failed to receive the Messiah have led God to Korea, where the providence will finally be fulfilled through True Parents’ hands and God’s will.
-Jordan Soulman, 17, USA
True Mother needs our cooperation to establish God’s Kingdom on this planet. At least we have the substantial point where True Parents established Cheon Jeong Gung! But still—the world doesn’t know True Parents. If they did, the world we are living in wouldn’t be like this. There would be no fear, confusion, family break-ups, children suffering—we need to fulfill as representatives of True Parents our responsibility by developing our original minds so we can offer our heart and talent to bring the world to True Parents.
-Soin Alexander, 25, USA
Listening to True Mother’s words, I was most touched by Mother’s request for us all to learn True Parents’ life course, and the tremendous difficulties they had and still must go through to fulfill their portion of responsibility as the Messiah. I realized while seeing Mother’s tears that there is so much I don’t know about what conditions have been set for us to be here now, especially for me as a second generation Unificationist. From the lectures at Cheongpyeong during this workshop, I have begun to understand how much True Parents have accomplished, and all the preparations God set even before their births on earth. I hope now to further my studies of True Parents’ life course so that I can better understand their role, and my portion of responsibility in fulfilling Vision 2020.

I feel like True Mother’s speech really related to a lot of the Hoon Dok Hwe we’ve been doing, but honestly the content of her speech made my faith a lot stronger and I couldn’t help but think of the impact it could have on so many people outside of the church. It also motivated me a lot and made me want to witness to my friends back at home.
-Tamana Ishibashi, 15, USA
As I was watching the speech True Mother gave on the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Cheon Jeong Gung, I had a lot going through my mind, and to me, I think the main message was to fulfill our responsibility. We can’t just sit by and watch as the world crumbles in disaster after disaster every single day. Too much has been invested in us to not do anything about it. I can’t even begin to imagine how God felt when He could finally call True Parents His own after the long wait.
I still have a lot to understand about the things I don’t get right now, but one thing I learned and realized is that God is looking at us to step up and fulfill all the hopes He has for this world.
