Camp Aurora
This summer, Camp Aurora, drew over 60 campers of a variety of ages from across New England for a week of camping and …. The theme of this year’s camp was to “Illuminate…channeling our God given inner light, or value, and being able to cultivate a stronger sense of self so that we can shine brightly for others.”
Camp Kohoe
The focus of this year’s summer camp at Camp Kohoe (or Kingdom of Heaven on Earth) was the parent-child relationship. Over 60 Unificationist youth gathered at the campsite in Benton Harbor, MI, where they had the opportunity to learn more about the principles of the parent-child relationship from Gerry Servito and Benjy Uyama of the National Ministry Team and to apply those principles in their own relationships with their parents.
Camp Lone Star
Camp Lone Star drew campers from as far as New Jersey and Florida to Blanco, TX for a week of activities, lectures and discussion this summer. The theme for this year’s camp was “Owning My Identity,” and campers were encouraged day-by-day to deepen their understanding of their identities and their faith as Unificationist youth.
Camp One Heart
The One Heart High School Summer Retreat continues to be a very popular week in the San Bernadino Mountains for Unificationist-born youth and their friends. The camp took place from June 26 – July 2, 2016, and this year and last have seen record numbers of participants and college age staff.
Camp T2
Camp T2, designed for eighth graders and older, has just finished after 6 days of backpacking in the Olympic National Park. Even though it rained most days spirits were high and the 28 second-generation Unificationist campers were up for the challenge and the adventure of the week.
Several summer camps and workshops are still happening, so please stay tuned as more information comes in from around the country, or share your own summer camp story at familyfed.org/share-a-story.
