Study Week and Final Exams

Five-Day Divine Principle Workshop

From Monday, May 16 to Sunday, May 22, the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) Las Vegas chapter held a five-day Divine Principle workshop at Camp Mozumdar, a campsite used for educational and spiritual retreats just outside of San Bernardino, CA. Mrs. Christine Froehlich and Rev. Andrew Compton, educational director of the International Peace Education Center, gave presentations covering the contents of the entire Divine Principle, as well as True Parents’ life course and the Marriage Blessing Ceremony. There were a total of 19 participants, seven of whom were new to the Unification movement. The mother of one CARP member even flew in from Connecticut to support the kitchen crew for the weekend!
End of the Semester Celebration

On the night of Friday, May 13, CARP held a banquet to celebrate the end of the semester for college students. The celebration provided valuable opportunities to connect with one another and to interact with the parents and families of students who were new to CARP, as well as with teachers and community members who have been positively impacted by CARP’s work. During the course of the evening, several parents testified to the positive change they have seen in their child since they became involved in CARP.
CARP USA Trip to Japan

Three members of the CARP Las Vegas chapter joined CARP Los Angeles and CARP USA representatives on a trip to Japan to meet with CARP Japan students as well as make pilgrimage to historic places that True Father visited in Japan. During the trip, our CARP Las Vegas representatives were able to bond with CARP Japan and CARP Korea students.
12-Day Actionizing Program

From Wednesday, May 25 until Monday, June 6, CARP held an actionizing program to help participants from the five-day workshop held earlier in the month to begin putting their life of faith into action. Nine participants attended the actionizing program in total. Activities included reading Hoon Dok Hwe (scripture), practicing giving lectures on the Divine Principle, personalized spiritual formation, fundraising, and hearing testimonies about True Parents’ life course. Participants took great steps forward in understanding and receiving True Parents’ love.

It is good to see that CARP is there sustaining its existence….
I am missing reports of outreach activities on Campus.
How is CARP dealing with the dominant Left-wing agitation on
Campus. Are they taking a stand for Godism – are they networking
with other Christian-conservative organizations? How are they
standing up to sexual perversion on Campuses, any campaigns against
Pornography?
