Background

Dr. Achille Acolatse

Dr. Achille Acolatse was born on June 14, 1971 in Togo, West Africa and joined the Unification movement in 1988. In 1995, Dr. Acolatse graduated from the E.N.S.I. engineering school in Togo. From 1995 to 1998 he worked as an electrical engineer in a factory in Tsevie, Togo, whilst also serving as the local church leader.  

From 2001 to 2011, Dr. Acolatse worked as a computer programmer for True World Group while continuing his studies at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) where he obtained a master’s degree in telecommunication in 2003 and a doctorate in electrical engineering in 2011. While living in New Jersey, Dr. Acolatse served as a Hoon Dok small group leader and was a member of the New Jerusalem choir at the Clifton Family Church.  

In February 2011, Dr. Acolatse moved to the Washington D.C. area where he began working at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  From 2014 to 2016, he served as chairman of the Washington, D.C. Family Church Council.   

Dr. Acolatse currently serves as vice-president of the Africa New Hope Association, which was formed  in 2011 with the mission to bring together Unificationists of African descent  in order to promote and support God’s Providence on the African continent and around the world.

Dr. Acolatse received the Marriage Blessing with Katsumi Arimatsu of Japan at the Marriage Blessing Ceremony of 30,000 couples in Seoul, Korea in 1992.
