Hyungtae Ha

Background

Rev. Hyungtae Ha was born in Jinju, South Korea. Rev. Ha is the eldest son of Jong O Ha and Shil Ja Lee, a 777 couple, who served as pastors in local churches throughout Korea and as national messiahs to Angola, Africa.

As the eldest second-generation Unificationist in his local church, Rev. Ha has always supported the youth and sought to act as a bridge across generations.From 1993 to 1996, he served as a district youth pastor in the Choong-nam district of Korea.

Since moving to Minneapolis in 2002, Rev. Ha has been actively supporting and leading in the Minneapolis church as a youth pastor and Hoon Dok church leader, and has sat on both the church and district councils.

Rev. Ha graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Sun Moon University and a master’s of science degree in computer science from the University of Bridgeport. For the past 15 years he has been working as a software developer, quality manager and project manager.

Rev. Ha and his wife, Jinsun Kim, attended the Marriage Blessing in 1995 at a ceremony held for 300 second-generation Unificationist couples, and have four children–Seokjoon, Geumjin, Seokhyun, and Seokwon–aged 15, 11, 8, and 4.
