Colorado Family Church Celebrates Il Shim Graduation
For the past several months, the Colorado Family Church has been conducting its Il Shim program, the transition program for Unificationist children to learn about the value of maintaining their purity for their future husband or wife. Three members of the Colorado community led the recent Il Shim program: David Stein, Peggy Yujiri and Tami Tamayo. They invested much into the small group of young people by taking them out to eat, organizing a camping trip, teaching them about Unification history and values, as well as relaying practical points on topics like integrity, and much more.
On December 13, the Colorado Family Church held the official Il Shim graduation during their Sunday Service. This Il Shim class consisted of five young people, for whom the entire community warmly embraced and congratulated during this important rite of passage. During the graduation, the whole community watched these young people share their pledges to become contributing members of the community and to prepare themselves well for the Marriage Blessing someday.
“It was a heart-warming experience to see the future of our movement being cared for and invested into,” said Pastor Michael Hentrich of the Colorado Family Church. “Thank you to the Il Shim graduates for all their hard work and for Il Shim teachers for their initiative and investment into these young people.”

This is simply fabulous! Our 2nd and 3rd Generation youth are truly the hope of the future! It is great to see adults taking responsibility to share the tradition and faith with them.
Spread this around the nation.
