Divine Principle Seminar Participants Visit Lake Mead

On Tuesday, November 24, participants in the 7-day Divine Principle Seminar in Las Vegas headed out for a day in nature.
The day began with a quick morning session at the International Peace Education Center studying Restoration. “We are seeing history through the eyes and heart of God,” said educator Rev. Andrew Compton. “It is quite an amazing revelation.”
Participant Monica Lenoior reflected on her insights so far: “I did not understand before how living out God’s ideals by changing my attitude and giving value would increase the likelihood at succeeding in building communities all over the world. I now know I have to lead people to a higher consciousness by using the freedom I have alongside with my individual responsibility through education. To sum it up, through this 7-day seminar, I am better at understanding the power of love and God’s true intentions.”
“With understanding and wanting to understand more, I am feeling the desire to take responsibility for this life that God has given me, and the love that I need to express more fully with my brothers and sisters, parents, and God,” said Miyuki Granstrom.
The group headed out early, after breakfast, to visit the Hoover Dam and go for a ride on Lake Mead in True Father’s boat. All the participants felt loved, as they were able to ride on True Father’s boat surrounded by the blue sky and beauty of the mountains on every side. At one point they cut the engine and everyone was given the opportunity to meditate on God’s creation and to pray.

“Thanks to God and everyone I can share my heart with, who are working for and looking for peace and truth in life,” said participant An Na Castillo.
“I can now more than ever, based on my own experience, feel God in each and every person here, and there are just no words to describe how wonderful that feels!” expressed Iana Berzina, one of the youngest participants (16). “We all are so grateful to every single one of those people who made this happen and are taking care of us!”
The Divine Principle workshop is proving to be a powerful tool for Unificationists and guests alike. Unificationist-born Cordula Henry expressed a redetermination to share the Divine Principle with others: “I could open up my heart for God’s truth and at the same time I could learn how new members feel when they hear the Divine Principle the first time. This helped me to better prepare my heart for the future, to bring people to the truth and to help them understand it better.”
The nine participants of all ages and backgrounds are beginning to feel like family, and are looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving together tomorrow.
“As a young Unificationist, I’m finding value in the time I have spent with older, younger and new members of the faith,” said Takahashi Sugawara. “Interestingly, we also span the four corners of the country: New England, Pacific Northwest, Florida and the Southwest. The diversity of the participants in this intimate 7-day workshop has led to a freshness in dialogue and sharing that I haven’t experienced in a long time.”
The workshop so far has provided an opportunity for everyone to understand God’s heart more deeply to the point of feeling His pain for this world. Their motivation is such that they hope to help bring joy to God through their own unique gifts.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this amazing opportunity,” said Andres Medellin. “Although I may still be resistant to many spiritual revelations, now I will never lose hope for the Kingdom of Heaven to be built here on earth and will carry this responsibility with joy and faith.”
