Summer Workshop Practices Small Acts of Kindness

A workshop based on the motto, “Moon Effect: A tiny little act, extraordinary change of the heart” reflected to 23 young, Spanish Unificationists that they are the reflection of God and True Parents for others, the same way the moon is manifested to the earth depending on the sun.

From June 23 to July 2, 2015 at the El Manantial del Corazón, the group focused on the idea that even the smallest acts of kindness, if carried out with the right heart, will change another person’s heart. At the same time, others will pass that heart forward, and if enough people engage in this mindset, they can change the world.

Amid Divine Principle study, discussions on tradition, and a special day devoted to discussing purity, the group especially enjoyed Challenge Day, when they had the opportunity to participate in the Peace Road journey in Madrid and spent the afternoon playing sports and games, swimming, and engaging in activities to give them hands-on practice in the Divine Principle lessons they received.

One evening, the group set aside 40 minutes to pray. Their goal was to be closer to God once they get back home and to make True Parents more present in their daily lives. To remind them of all they learned and experienced in this week, participants each took home a T-shirt with a moon symbol imprinted on it.
