One Family Under God Retreat

18 Unificationists, including 2 returning guests and 3 new members, took part in a “One Family Under God Retreat” at the beautiful and historic Pasadena House on March 25. One of the participants was so inspired, she posted a message on her Facebook page telling everyone: “I’ve joined a church!” Under the leadership of Pastor George Kazakos, the congregation has had success reaching out to guests through their small group meetings focused on meditation, prayer, and Divine Principle study. The retreat was another opportunity to provide a more in-depth experience for new and long time members alike. The congregation has come together to invite guests, provide food, and give lectures during the weekly small group meetings as well as at the recent retreat. One of the new participants at the retreat said that she experienced a deep sense of peace, and was excited to get involved with some of the regular ministry programs at Sunday Service.

Home Church Outreach

The Orlando Family Church joined Rev. Jeddie and Rev. Elma King at their Home Church in Kissimmee at a special service for new friends in the community on March 23. The engaging message and warm reception from the congregation inspired the seven guests and sixteen family members who attended the service. One family in particular felt touched by the experience and asked to attend a workshop while their children were home on spring break. The congregation was also inspired to share the message of True Parents, and they look forward to getting to know their new guests and inviting others.
