Meeting the President of Malta

Thursday, June 25, marked the first anniversary of the President’s Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society (PFWS). The Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) of Malta was invited, along with various VIPs and representatives of registered NGOs, to attend a celebration hosted by the president of Malta, Her Excellency Ms. Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, at her official residence, San Anton Palace, located in Malta’s capital, Valletta.

The president gave an overview of all 42 events held by PFWS in its first year. She explained how she had personally met members of most sections of society to discuss various issues of interest. Guests at the celebration had a chance to express their ideas and needs. The foundation had come a long way in breaking social barriers as it operated as a platform for voluntary organizations to contribute to the wellbeing of society as a whole.

Ms. Myrabelle Corlett and Ms. Comfort Ahunanya represented WFWP-Malta at the event. During the reception that followed in the palace garden, they were able to personally meet H.E the president and the newly appointed Archbishop of Malta, Mgr. Charles J. Scicluna, among other guests.

    How absolutely wonderful that Myrabelle and Comfort representing WFWP as a registered NGO, could meet Her Excellency Ms. Preca of Malta and Mgr. Charles J. Scicluna! With Malta’s rich history and its caring for the wellbeing of the society in Malta and migrants (a very important and heart wrenching topic today), it appears that you are standing on fertile ground to advance WFWP as a significant contributing NGO.
