Your Weekly Update
Every Friday the National Ministry Team compiles stories and important upcoming events in a quick weekly update video. Here is what we cover this week:
The Third Anniversary of True Father’s Seonghwa
We are only five weeks away from True Father’s Seonghwa memorial. As you study and pray in preparation for this day, reflect on how you will carry on his legacy. Find the one thing that True Parents loved and gave their life for that you will do to advance heaven’s providence.
Peace Road 2015
This weekend, just past the halfway mark of this two-month-long event, riders continued along the Peace Road in the USA, in Los Angeles and San Francisco. This weekend, the ride continues up the West Coast. Sign up to participate at a Peace Road location near you!
Universal Peace Choir
The Universal Peace Choir is a global offering for the third anniversary of True Father’s Seonghwa, celebrating his life and legacy through a virtual chorus designed to bring the world together in song. Participate in this exciting project with a simple video submission!
National Parents’ Day
The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) hosted four Parents’ Day events this past week. These celebrations took place at Pasadena City Hall, Seattle, the Chamber of City Hall in Manassas, VA and Capitol Hill, where the Parents of the Year award was presented.
National Witnessing Strategy Meeting
Twenty-two representatives from across the nation met at East Garden for a national witnessing strategy meeting this past weekend from July 17-19, 2015. A joint project of the national ministry team and National Council, this gathering was an effort to promote dialogue and further discuss ways to better fulfill True Mother’s desire for the good news of True Parents to spread around the world.
Cham Bumo Gyeong Translation Project
Editors and translators are doing a final read-through of the English version of the Cham Bumo Gyeong, the third volume of Holy Scriptures. It will be printed and presented to True Mother at the third anniversary of True Father’s Seonghwa.
