Donations Go a Long Way in Nepal Relief Efforts

Relief efforts are continuing in Nepal, as is the financial support of our FFWPU worldwide families. We are happy to announce that our collective contributions thus far have been received in Nepal and are being used for the most urgent needs of the Nepali brothers and sisters.

On July 5, 2015, volunteers gathered to participate in relief activites in 51 villages of eight different earthquake affected districts in Nepal. All the volunteers were awarded with a certificate of appreciation.

On May 20, 2015, the national ministry team spoke with Hon. Ek Nath Dhakal, President of the Nepal Family Church and Chairman of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF)-Nepal, in the midst of his site visits for the recovery of Nepal after the devastating earthquake earlier this year. He and his team had distributed rice and tents to the victims and brought relief kits for about 50 families; however many families returned home empty handed due to a shortage of support funds. Since then, thanks to donations by the familyfed.org readership around the world, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) USA was able to send $32,546.85 to UPF-Nepal toward relief efforts.

Contributions will help reconstruct homes and provide basic needs to survivors. The generosity of people around the world has been wonderful to see, and continuous support is still needed. Every dollar raised makes an incredible difference, so let’s keep sending our love to Nepal. Donate today!

    A big “Thank You” to FFWPU-USA, its leadership under Dr. Michael Balcomb, to all those who donated (sacrificed for Nepal) and all the newsletter staff for thier support. All of the money will be used to help our Nepalese family (zero for administration costs). We are strongly advocating that as Nepal builds thier buildings to resist earthquakes, they also rebuild families so that they resist the extreme selfishness and immorality sweeping the world today.
