Your Weekly Update
Every Friday the National Ministry Team compiles stories and important upcoming events in a quick weekly update video. Here is what we cover this week:
GPA Commencement
The Generation Peace Academy (GPA)’s graduation celebration included 85 graduates who served in America and abroad. Moving testimonies were shared from senior GPA graduates. They expressed their deep appreciation and love of God, True Parents and the GPA program. Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, Continental Chair of FFWPU, who offered the keynote address, was full of excitement and inspiration from the GPA candidates. Feeling hopeful for America, he claimed them as America’s mentors. GPA is still accepting applications for next year’s program at www.gpafamily.com.
Pathway to Peace
On Sunday, June 21, friends and families gathered on a main street in Nutley, New Jersey, celebrating friendship and different cultures. Carol Pobanz, who coordinated the event, included colorful art projects to illustrate peace, such as using sawdust and chalk to create tapestry on the street. The event included musical selections from a high school choir and local band, Sail the Boat. The Nutley Mayor, Alphonse Petracco, and the national leader of FFWPU Honduras participated in a brotherhood ceremony.
