Rev. Hiroshi Inose Surprises Unificationists in Kansas
Unbeknownst to us, Rev and Mrs Inose arrived in the Kansas City area late Thursday, April 2nd, 2015. Apparently they were holed up in a hotel for 2 nights as Rev Inose had a lot of reporting to catch up with. We were informed to pick them at the Airport Sheraton at 12:00 PM Saturday, which my wife and I did. We took them to a certain Japanese restaurant, Kato, for lunch after which they arrived at the Kansas City Family Church, formerly known as the Unification Family Life Center.
Rev Inose began talking to the handful of people there at about 2:00 PM. And he talked, and he talked. At about 4:00 PM the Japanese session began and lasted for several hours followed by a take out Chinese dinner as Rev Inose did not want endless people cooking and puttering around and missing what he came for, the word of God, as understood by Rev Inose.
The next day, Sunday, Rev Inose gave the Sunday Service. He talked about how the Unification Church started with nothing but the Holy Spirit and Brothers and Sisters loving each other. He gave a testimony about how his spiritual father talked about True Father and he felt liberated and joyful and how he called him for 6 days in a row till he came to church. He shared about how he had to struggle through his first 2 day workshop sleeping through 90% of the lectures. He shared a spiritual experience he had as he was about to run back to Japan, how his roses spoke to him, saying how happy they were being used for the providence. He shared about how the olive tree’s roots take 15 years to reach the water table but can sometimes live to be 2,000 years old. He shared about the victory of Manhattan Center and The University of Bridgeport. He shared that after the indemnity period water overflows. He shared about the spiritual sensitivity of the 2nd Gen. He said a small congregation is more important than a 10,000 member one, if they can touch God’s heart.
After lunch Rev Inose gave a Power Point presentation. Some of the points discussed were:
- Unificationists know what to do but are missing “action”.
- Don’t listen to rumors or you can easily lose hope or lose faith.
- Those spreading rumors are not concerned about your spiritual life.
- If you do not witness you will decline.
- Using DP to witness is very successful in Brazil and is being used now in LA and Japan.
- The meaning of various proclamations Father made.
- Donating 10% is the foundation for becoming rich.
After most of the brothers and sisters, left Rev Inose continued to share with Rev Lincoln from Nebraska and his wife Yoko as well as Rev Saarna of Kansas (me) and my wife Mieko.
The inexhaustible Reverend finally retired to his hotel room with his lovely wife and was picked up to share some more over breakfast the next morning with the Lincolns and the Saarnas before they were taken to the airport.
We had, had quite a turnout Sunday including 3 couples from Nebraska and a handful of members from Iowa and Minnesota.
