Background
Father Bayo Adrien was born in the Republic of Cameroon, in West Central Africa. At the young age of six, he felt a strong calling from God. He began a ministry of music at age nine, playing the drums in the church his family founded, Holy Trinity House of Prayer in Port Harcourt Nigeria West Africa. At age 13, he began preaching there as a youth minister.
Father Bayo came to America in 1985 to Bowie State College where he did his undergraduate studies in information management systems and graduated from Saturday Bible College Howard University campus, with a Master’s in Religious Education. In 2014, he received an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Higher Learning Bible Institute and Seminary International, in Richmond, VA.
Father Bayo joined the Unification Movement in Washington D.C. as an ordained clergy in 2001 and began serving as District One Clergy Outreach Minister. Over the years, he held positions as ACLC District Executive Liaison and Director, Pastor for Ministry Development, Pastor for the Washington D.C. Family Church, IIFWP founding Ambassador for Peace, and UPF Coordinator in Richmond, VA.
Father Bayo received the Marriage Blessing Missionary Ayano Ishii, originally from Japan, in 2002 as part of the 144,000 Interfaith Clergy Blessing. He currently serves as the Pastor for the Richmond Family Church as well as for parts of central Virginia.
Father Bayo is also an ordained AACC—African American Catholic Congregation Priest, a CME—Christian Methodist Episcopal Church USA commissioned local preacher and ordained Baptist Deacon with Cooperative Baptist, Westover Baptist Church Richmond, VA.
Father Bayo is currently a founding board member of Divine Principle Healthy Relationship Institute and serves as a soccer coach for Richmond Waldorf School.
