Dallas Outreach Builds Momentum
The two-week outreach revival in Dallas is coming to a close, but the excitement and commitment to outreach are fully alive. Despite record snowfall, new people continue to come to hear Divine Principle. Volunteers have been teaching introductions to students on campus every day, and also make appointments to teach those who can come to the church center.
The new guests are bonding with volunteers and the community, and continue to be inspired by what they are learning. One new guest was so inspired by his first lecture that he plans to attend the weekly Bible study. Even through language barriers, the message of the Divine Principle seems to be getting through. For one Unificationist and guest, communication was difficult because neither are native English speakers. However, when the guest saw the diagrams for the Divine Principle introduction, he was excited to hear more.
The outreach effort continues to provide priceless experiences to the outreach participants as well. A mother and son team, who were inspired to support the Dallas outreach initiative, say that their relationship has become much closer since they joined the team.
The team has a Texas BBQ Open House Banquet planned for today, March 6, 2015, and has more plans in store for the weekend as they wrap up this outreach revival. The community has made outreach a priority this year, so even though this first initiative is coming to an end, the community expects to build off this momentum and looks forward to more events in the future.
Outreach revivals will happen around the country throughout the year. Stay tuned for an even near you, or in a city you’d like to visit!
