True Parents’ Birthday
By Margoth Tove Kalstad (Norway)
Love and life
Life corrupts the beauty of love, in search of True Love
In my prayer, I cried out to God, desperate to find a life of True Love
A life reflecting the absolute selfl ess love, I sense from God
Afraid no one with enough faith, will and strength ever will appear again, on this earth
To reunite us with the selfl ess love of God
Until I met True Parents, on a day of spring ’78, running down the street
I stopped; I rejoiced in my heart, I felt this was God’s answer to my cry
Studying the Mission of Jesus, a vision of True Father appeared, embracing Jesus in comfort to his
heart
My eyes run red in tears, weak long cry, I thought they would never run dry
I sense True Father was the answer to my prayer
Finding a man with selfless love that embraced the sorrow of
God,
Jesus and
Fellow man
True Parents, Your tears never run dry, your faith never wavers
it is strong enough, willing enough, and brave enough
to reunite us with the selfless love of God
True Parents, Your suffering path gives us hope in the wickedness of our weak flesh,
our fallen nature
True Parents, You invite us to walk the narrow path of restoration, so all of humanity can be
reunited with the selfless love of God
True Parents’ faith, love and forgiveness
lead us to a life
of unity, forgiveness and love
No law, philosophy, science or clever mind
can be compared to the power of True Love
Standing in front of this love,
I feel blessed and raised up, made aware that True Parents’ love
is the only force that can eradicate the evil made by the fall
Acting from the heart, You create a vision of a world of peace and beauty for all,
a world that only can come true when True Parents appear with True Love
In Your life on earth, You practice to live from Your heart,
so unique and pure,
no words can fully describe what I see and feel in my heart
It holds a promise of loving me
again and again
a love so absolute and true, it is hard to grasp
I tried to copy that heart, of love in my life and I find it so hard to understand,
how to forgive
and love
again and again
I know You know my mistakes, as I do
but still
Your love is there, unchanging
like a parent patiently waiting
for me
to cut the chain from the fall
Your absolute unchanging love, You hold, give me power to do and think that
the impossible is possible
Change into who I was meant to be
True Parents, Your wish is that all people can return and stand in the light,
without casting a shadow
True Parents, You never miss a chance to speak and teach us about God’s heart and ask us
again and again
to believe, trust and deepen our relationship with God
One day
following True Parents’ path of indemnity
there is a hope
to be reunited
with the eternal love of God
This poem was written for an international poetry contest held in commemoration of True Parents’ birthday in 2016.
