Story of a Legend
By Tae Hwan Ominde (Kenya)
This is the story of a Legend
A couple God had to send
And on whom we could depend
From Heaven they did descend
Paying indemnity for all was their trend
All past mistakes they did mend
Continued past the dead end
Leaving nothing to pend
With all they would easily blend
To many they became a friend
Who never would pretend
But only helped defend
A leadership each nation can commend
Our True Parents we should attend
Against all evil we should contend
Till the last evil we apprehend
A helping hand they would always lend
Until their backs would bend
Accomplished all to the end
Now, Cheon Il Guk to the ends of the earth, we must extend.
This poem was written for an international poetry contest held in commemoration of True Parents’ birthday in 2016.
