Happy Birthday, True Parents!

By Bento Leal (USA)

I have dreamed the most special dream

Of earth and stars, hills and streams

Where animals frolic to and fro

With birds on high and fi sh below

Th e sky so blue and trees asway

And joyful sounds every day

I made it all for my children to be

Who would create a universal family

Of love so warm, so true and pure

It was meant to be, I felt it sure

But darkness came and blocked the light

Th e days grew dim and turned to night

My heart did ache and fi lled with dread

Was this a sign my dream was dead

I shuddered at the horrid thought

Th at all my care had come to naught

Would a cure come into sight

Th at could pierce this painful, daunting night

I prayed and waited through the years

Would someone come to dry my tears

A son would rise and then be struck

All seemed dashed in mire and muck

But on a mount a boy did pray

“Lord, don’t give up, don’t dismay”

It moved my heart, this tiny lad

Was he the hope to remove the sad

He toiled to learn my mighty dream

And fought hard with grit and eyes agleam

To make it come to fruition

O’er all the world and in every nation

But he knew a solo man could not

Achieve the prize for which he fought

In order to turn back the tide

He would need a faithful, heavenly bride

And so it was that I prepared

A maiden righteous with nature fair

Who could join as one this son of mine

And march together and make the climb

To ascend the throne I longed to see

And create the heavenly family

Where my blood runs warm through the veins

With the goal to eliminate all the pains

I can breathe now, though long it took

True Parents are alive in every cranny and nook

The light has pierced the long, dark night

My One World Family is coming into sight

My love is full, I’m about to burst

When ’twasn’t long ago I feared the worst

The Blessing is spreading far and wide

Reviving souls that once had died

True Parents, thank you, my children dear

As tightly to my breast I hold you near

You’ve kept the faith and spread the love

Throughout the earth and the heavens above

Happy Birthday to you, I proudly beam,

You’re fulfilling my original, glorious dream
