Youth Workshop Tackles Core Divine Principle Concepts

Staff and participants of the Atlanta Family Church Elementary Sunday School Workshop
Mrs. Shirley Mawejje was the coordinator of an Atlanta Family Church youth workshop on January 2. Eleven participants ages 7-11 had a day-long winter workshop from 10am-6pm, led by three volunteer staff. The goal of this workshop was to teach young Unificationists about the Divine Principle through fun activities.

They studied the Divine Principle chapter on Creation, focusing mostly on section 6, “The Incorporeal World Whose Center is Human Beings.” To convey this concept to these young minds, staff had them copy three diagrams from the Divine Principle lecture manual. Then, they discussed them in groups and created and answered challenge questions. To apply what they studied, they had a “receiving vitality elements” activity in which each child picked another child’s name from a hat and tried to plan acts of kindness toward the chosen person during the day.
After lunch, the group made crafts and played games. Then they drove to Catch Air, a nearby bouncing facility, and had a wonderful time letting out their energy on the trampolines. After that, they enjoyed a group dinner to close this wonderful workshop.
