Ye Jin Moon Visits New Hope Family Church
On May 27, 2018, Ye Jin Moon, the eldest child of True Parents’ family, delivered an impassioned Sunday sermon at the New Hope Family Church in Bowie, Maryland, presenting her thesis, Gender Balance; Divine Heart Principle.
An enthusiastic standing-room only crowd of about 200 people flocked in on Memorial Day weekend to welcome her. “Seeing Ye Jin Moon was a real treat for everyone. Quite an occasion for us all,” said Pastor Boothby.
So many in the audience, both young and old Unificationists, were excited to enjoy an entire weekend with True Parents’ eldest child. The weekend consisted of a young adult event, sermon, Q and A session, and luncheon. Because many Unificationists are aware of the difficult course that many of True Parents’ children endure, those in the audience sought to bring joy to Ye Jin Moon, just as they would want to bring joy to True Parents. They especially wanted to treat her with the utmost respect as one of True Mother’s biggest supporters.
On the first day of her visit, Ye Jin Moon was the featured speaker at the young adult “Passion Speaks” evening event, which was organized by youth leaders Shin Taylor and Dan Drost. The next day, Sunday morning an extra-large crowd turned out to hear her as the featured speaker at the New Hope Sunday Service.
In her sermon, Ye Jin Moon carefully traced the historic roots of the difficulties between men and women since Adam and Eve. She addressed “Eve’s Double Sin,” explaining that although she advocates women, due to providential reasons, Heavenly Parent was largely prevented from working with women—until now.
She further explained that True Mother could complete and restore the role of Eve and stand on equal footing as True Father. Thus, through True Parents, the age of women arrived. On one or two occasions Ye Jin Moon had to fight off tears.
During the lively 40 minute Q and A session, Ye Jin Moon answered the questions of Unificationists without stirring any controversy, defusing any confusions the local community may have had in response to her sermon. Following this session, the community shared a special luncheon with True Parents’ child and had a wonderful conversation over Korean food.
“Ye Jin Moon was a rock star success in Maryland. She took her time, posed for pictures, shook hands and just seemed genuinely happy to be there,” said Pastor Boothby.

I am so happy to see Ye Jin Nim giving a sermon about the Gender Balance Divine Heart Principle which proclaims Heavenly Mother. Which she wrote inspired by her deep tearful prayers. This is what our world needs now. Equality within the genders of humanity and this truth helps us all to understand the feminine heart of God more efficiently, so much so that we can be safe to say that understanding this truth helps us to become our true selves.
