From October 11 to 13, the Massachusetts community had a Principle of Creation retreat at the Boston Family Church. On Friday night, they kicked off their event with games and a birthday celebration. On Saturday, participants studied Divine Principle through reading, listening to lectures and discussing in groups. They also incorporated a clean up of the Boston Commons and the Boston Public Gardens. Many participants shared that they were happy to clean up the public areas, expressing that they received a lot of gratitude from park patrons who witnessed their work. The group finished off their retreat by attending Sunday Service.
Southeast Region
The young adult ministry in Maryland organized a two-day retreat that gave the 21 participants a chance to reconnect and spend time in nature. Activities included beautiful autumn hikes and relevant morning services offered by Dr. Frank Kaufmann. The young adults rented a large house for the weekend getaway, which took place on October 12 and 13.
Midwest Region
The Midwest hosted a Peace Starts With Me ChicaGO! Youth and Young Adult Weekend from October 18 to 20 to compliment the Chicago True Family Values Gala and Chicago JAM on October 19. There were about 250 participants who joined from around the nation, bringing some incredible energy and heart to the weekend’s activities. Some highlights include synergistic interaction with the Soul Children of Chicago, a warm and intimate Sunday Service with Sun Jin Nim, and the Chicago JAM itself, where participants opened the event by performing the Mujogeon Dance, bringing spirit and energy into the rest of concert. Overall, many shared how meaningful it was to be a part of such a powerful interfaith experience with fellow Christian brothers and sisters.

Southwest Region
This month, the Southwest region created a special team called the Hyojeong Peace Corps. They are on a special mission to support activities in the Southwest and fundraise for the National Victory Fund to prepare for the December 28 rally. Communities they visited were inspired to make their own fundraising teams and continue these activities. The Hyojeong Peace Corps will keep visiting other communities for the remainder of the year.
West Region
On October 12, the Los Angeles YAYAM team invited Gerry Servito to give spiritual guidance and training for their leaders. The program began with an inspiring message from Western Subregional Director, Rev. Larry Krishnek. Representatives from Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP), and even the Cheon Il Guk Missionaries, joined for the one-day seminar. They had a fun time making t-shirts and doing Halloween-themed mini-games at the end.
