WFWP 25th Anniversary Celebration

On December 16, the New York Chapter of Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) commemorated 25 years of peace-building around the world with a celebratory banquet. On Saturday, 30 local members gathered in a downtown New York ballroom for the joyous event. Beryl Green, head of New York’s WFWP chapter, emceed and organized the festivities, themed Living by the Logic of Love.

 

Mrs. Angelika Selle, President of WFWP USA, presented an overview of the organization’s work since its 1992 beginnings, with emphasis on United States activities and contributions. Then Reverend Juanita Pierre-Louis spoke on the need for men and women to recover our natural ability to heal without depending on others.

Honorable mention was given to missionary women who invested years to advancing the organization’s efforts around the world. After sharing a hearty dinner together, the evening was followed with songs, dancing, and the recognition of individuals on stage.
