Your Weekly Update – November 11
Every week the National Ministry Team compiles stories and important upcoming events in a quick weekly update video. Here is what we cover this week:
FFWPU Japan Paper Crane Project
On September 11, 2016 in Tokyo, over 2200 members and friends of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification gathered including some local government officials to pray for world peace and observe the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
In keeping with Japanese tradition, every participant made paper cranes to offer their sincere prayers. They then sent these 2000 paper cranes to the World Trade Center in New York as a tangible symbol of their prayer for peace.
True Parents' Upcoming Visit to America
We are preparing for True Mother’s return to the United States and the important peace projects that she is initiating at this time. In Washington DC, True Mother will host the UPF International Leadership Conference, featuring a special session of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace. There will also be a spectacular benefit performance by the Little Angels at the National Theater on November 29, in support of the Children’s Hospitals of Washington DC.
True Mother will also be coming to New York for the ACLC National Convocation, and to spend time with youth at East Garden.
We want to invite all families to support True Mother and all these initiatives by continuing to pray for the success of these events and for the broader goals of national and international healing, and by offering your financial support.
Aloha Workshop
Register today for the Aloha Workshop, December 2-4. Youth will have the chance to attend events with True Mother in New York, meet with True Mother at East Garden, and participated in break-out discussions with other youth their age.
Appreciating Our Pastors
We’d like to take a moment to thank our wonderful pastors around the nation who invest so much of their time and love into the community, and often give much more than many of us are aware. October was Pastor Appreciation Month, and Unificationists from all over the US sent in letters to thank their pastor for everything they do.
