WFWP Leadership Retreat
This year, members of Women’s Federation for World Peace and Unification USA gathered together in Tampa, FL for their annual retreat from July 14 to 17. The theme of the retreat was “Compassionate, Sustainable Leadership.” Throughout the retreat, WFWP considered how compassionand sustainability are characteristics of a new, feminine style of leadership that can make peace a reality. They took time to refresh their personal connections with God in the beautiful nature, empower one another with their shared confidence and passion, gain spiritual and practical tools for use in the field, and connect more deeply in heart with WFWP Co-Founder, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, bonding together as women and sisters to create and renew friendships.
Checking in with Ocean Challenge
The National Ocean Challenge Program is now rolling into its second week with full force. This year, 36 participants, by far the largest group NOCP has ever had, have gathered in Alaska from all over the United States as well as Japan, Korea, and Russia, to understand True Parents’ vision for ocean providence. During the first week, all the participants earned their CPR certifications at the U.S. Coast Guard base. They also had their first taste of Alaskan river fishing in Chiniak, where they caught many fish and learned about the importance of high and low river tides. After undertaking the challenge of starting a fire, they cooked and ate the day’s catch together on the shore.
