In our blog, Peace Starts with Me, we discuss Rev. Moon’s teaching that “the role of John the Baptist was similar to the bride’s role, and through the execution of his mission, the perfected Jesus was to truly become the Messiah.” Jesus needed John the Baptist’s help to fulfill his mission as the Messiah. We will unpack this simple statement, which sheds light on why Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon is speaking at Madison Square Garden next week.

In honor of the Independence Day of the United States, we took a week off from the True Parents Way video series, which will resume next week.

Our Thursday podcast, Certain Inalienable Responsibilities, also addresses the Fourth of July. To secure the rights God endows us with, we need to fulfill the responsibilities God endows us with. Therefore, our God-given right is not to have happiness, but to pursue happiness. We only have it when we fulfill our responsibilities. The Divine Principle tells us what those responsibilities are.
