This Week on True Parents Way
Contributed by Dr. Tyler Hendricks
This week on True Parents Way, our True Family Values series is about parents, children, and rules. Parents give rules to their children. Is it to impose their authority? Not at all. When parents give a rule to their child (for example: “don’t run into the street”), they do so for the child’s benefit. When we tell our children, “Go to church, pray, don’t have sex before marriage, don’t smoke,” we may not realize it, but we are imitating God. We want our children to live happy, fulfilled lives. That desire comes from the original mind of parents.
Our Tuesday video, Infinite Desire, Perfect Satisfaction, starts with the Divine Principle: “If there had been no Fall, earthly people would be able to relate with spirits just as naturally as they relate among themselves.” Spiritual growth comes through engagement with people on earth, the source of vitality elements. Even as we enjoy the celestial realms, we will have roots of love on the earth. It will be as amazing on earth as it is in heaven.
And in our Thursday podcast, Patriotism and Parentism, Pastor Ruth and Dr. Tyler discuss how true patriotism takes a person beyond the family to serve their people, beyond their people to serve their nation, and beyond their nation to serve the world. Through the Principle and True Parents, God can guide us to truly think globally as we act locally. From the kitchen table to the town hall, to the legislative chambers of the nation and world, God’s love and Blessing are waiting to pour down.
