Veterans’ Activist to Welcome God’s Hope for America Bus Tour
Mr. Arby L. Hambric, Navy veteran of World War II and conflicts in Korea and Viet Nam will welcome the “God’s Hope for America (GHA) Bus Tour,” at 9:00a.m Wednesday, June 25th, at the Governor’s State Office Building, at 555 Washington Ave. in Las Vegas. The 48-state bus tour, a project of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), is a national prayer pilgrimage to honor Holy Grounds established by True Father throughout the United States in 1965.

The bus tour will be met by members of the American Clergy Leadership Conference, the Universal Peace Federation (an NGO in general consultative status with the United Nations), the Women’s Federation for World Peace, and the FFWPU of Las Vegas.
The GHA Bus Tour will join a ceremony to honor veterans of the Korean War as well as other veterans on Wednesday at the rally marking the 64th anniversary of the onset of the Korean War and will be opened by a color-guard ceremony by American Legion Post 8. Press may attend a press conference in the lobby of the building at 8:30 a.m. Mr. Hambric, 87, has served at Veterans’ services in Las Vegas for 38 years.
Dr. Michael Balcomb, president of the FFWPU-USA is scheduled as the keynote speaker, and will share his goal for visiting and offering prayers in all 48 states in what bus tour organizers call a “prayer pilgrimage” under the banner of “God’s Hope for America.” He will also give his reflections on the lessons learned from following in the footsteps of True Father, who credits American forces for saving his life during his imprisonment in a North Korean concentration camp in 1950. True Father first visited Las Vegas in 1965 and made the city his home during the last four years of his life.
