True Mother Offers Her Heart and Prayers Atop the Alps
The second anniversary of True Father’s Seonghwa will be commemorated in just a few weeks, on August 12, 2014. This is a time for us all to reflect and renew determination in his mission to bring the world to God. True Mother recently did so by offering a condition in Europe’s Alps, where she climbed 12 mountains that famously are known as “the top of the Alps” or “the top of Europe.” These include the Jungfrau, the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc. Every day she challenged herself to make it all the way to the top of the mountain, where she prayed for the fulfillment of a new providence.
True Father once said that the Alps historically have been a training place and refuge where organizations were formed. This is a place to feel in touch with heaven while looking out at the expanse of the world below, a place where True Mother’s heart and prayers could truly and strongly be offered.
Let us show the same amount of effort as we continue our 40-day prayer condition leading up to True Father’s Seonghwa anniversary and as we reach out to at least one person or family each year, inviting them to study the Divine Principle in our homes, in our communities, or on the current God’s Hope for America pilgrimage.
Another effort that any bicycle-lover can make is to join your local bike ride—there are relays in each state, called “Cycles for Peace,” which are raising money and awareness for the pilgrimage. Meet the bus in your local area and ask about the bike ride! Coming up this week, the bus and bike event arrive in Washington, D.C., New York City and Boston.
