Tribe Talk Builds a Family Culture
Contributed by CARP Las Vegas

On Thursday, September 15, Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) Las Vegas held our second ever Tribe Talk. Every week Tribe Talk is held to encourage University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) students to pursue their spiritual growth through engagement with Unification Principles and through experiencing the supportive family culture founded on True Parents’ teachings.

This week, the theme of our discussion was on “Original Value.” Participants faced the reality of our tendency to seek value from temporary and fleeting sources, and to recognize that we have actually been born with unique and eternal value from God.

Ten newcomers, 12 CARP members, and 6 members of the Las Vegas Family Church attended the program. We are very excited for the new tradition we are establishing through our Tribe Talk program. Through it, students and others who meet CARP for the first time can experience the power of the Divine Principle and a family culture of acceptance that encourages each individual’s spiritual growth in order to fulfill his or her unique potential. We are looking forward to many more Tribe Talks in this semester and semesters to come!
