This Week on True Parents Way
The True Parents Way blog points out that our greatest gift to our children is a culture that honors and protects the purity of true love, safeguards the child’s mind and body, and prepares the child to become a true spouse and a true parent. “Which of you fathers,” Jesus said, “if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?” We are allowing today’s culture to give our children snakes and scorpions. It’s time to ramp up a culture of parental heart.
Tuesday’s video is about “Principles, Positions and Paradoxes.” To assume a position means to adopt a specific role and take on the responsibilities associated with it. This led to a paradox in the New Testament: Jesus was born the Son of God, a perfect Adam with no original sin. But he took John the Baptist’s position, that of a restored Adam, born with original sin. Thus the paradox—Jesus had no sin, but he took on sin. Rev. and Mrs. Moon followed the same path.
Thursday’s Holy Marriage Blessing podcast, “Interior Design in the Garden,” shares about why children need to taste parents’ love, grandparents’ love and brother-sister love at home. Rev. Moon taught that “The children’s home is the parents’ home. The parents’ home is the children’s home.” We need to “organize a little better,” he said; we don’t need to have “too many bedrooms.” The interior design of our homes reflects the interior design of our hearts.
