The Spiritual Suitcase: What Else to Pack on Vacation
As we take our next beach trip or hit the road to visit grandma, we are pretty good about remembering the sunscreen, the change of clothes, and the camera, but what about bringing along those invisible things that make a vacation complete? DP Life brings you a fun little article about what to pack in your “spiritual suitcase”.
It’s important to not only be prepared externally, but also internally, for any trip. When we feel the stress of packing, leaving on time and navigating airports, we often tend to put our inner experience aside, and allow negativity and worry to enter our vacation experience. What is especially important in a family trip is to give as much attention to the internal journey as the external one, so that family excursions become good memories, and not bad ones.
This is our approach, and a way to bring God into everything we do. As we enjoy summer and take the time to travel the world, near and far, let us keep in mind these important things we really need to bring on vacation.
