More than 1000 people gathered at the International Peace Education Center (IPEC) in Las Vegas on October 27 and 28 for the Hyojeong Cheongpyeong Special Event 2018 America Tour. Right off the bat, spirits were high and lively during registration which made the event feel a lot like a family reunion.

Once the doors to the prayer room opened up early that day, it was quickly filled with Unificationists saying a heartfelt prayer to Heavenly Parent and True Parents. Many had said the prayer room felt a lot like the prayer hall in Cheongpyeong.

Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, Regional Chairman of Family Federation North America, offered a brief but heartfelt testimony about how he was visited by 430 generations of ancestors who wanted to join the celebration. After the event, Dr. Kim said he had never experienced that kind of Cheongpyeong heart before. “You could feel the spirit of True Parents,” he said. Dr. Kim continued by stating that True Mother is reviving us through these Cheongpyeong tours and we must absolutely unite with her in order to create Cheon Il Guk.

Families from all over brought along their young children and invested themselves into the chan yang sessions completely. Many were moved to tears from the experience of the American leaders who came around to help do chan yang on some of the participants.

Approximately a third of the attendees had never been to IPEC before, which made the Cheongpyeong Tour an incredible way to introduce them to IPEC.

“This event was an experience like nothing I’ve ever done before. The first day I could not see the chan yang team very well because I sat towards the middle of the room, but I could hear and feel their energy. I remember clapping so hard and endlessly that my hands hurt later on when I was clapping regularly. On the second day I sat in the third row, and the intensity was on another level. This time I was able to see the passion of the chan yang team up front and it just intensified the experience. I remember catching myself pouring my heart out while singing. I won’t forget the first day when Rev. Jackson helped me do chan yang. Overall it was a great spiritual experience and I felt close to True Parents and my brothers and sisters.” – Hugo Flores

“During the chan yang session, I suddenly realized that I had been helped by God and True Parents and appreciated that they didn’t abandon me. God put me on the right path whenever I turned away. I felt God and True Parents’ love through the session. After the session, my body seemed a bit lighter. I also felt a great responsibility for not committing any sins anymore. “I am so thankful to True Parents for allowing the Cheongpyeong team to come to America and our Subregion in Las Vegas. This was a very unique experience. My wife chose to be responsible for liberating her father’s ancestors and his side of the family line, so she participated in the ancestor liberation ceremony. After the chan yang session, when we prayed out loud, I felt so moved by my wife’s heart. I felt like Heavenly Parent and True Parents were so proud of her, and also her ancestors on her father’s side were so grateful to her. I felt so much love and gratitude being poured down on her and my wife became even more beautiful and lovely to me! Even though she has had difficult feelings towards her father and his side of the family, she showed such love and grace for them. Through True Parents teachings she had the heart to forgive and liberate them. I then realized this is also the situation and love and grace of Heavenly Parent and True Parents, who have taken responsibility for all of humanity, even though we have been unworthy of that precious, heavenly love and grace. “I want to offer my testimony of the amazing healing I received through the Cheongpyeong liberation ceremony. I had pain in my lower back for about 3 years after a freak lobster poisoning episode. I was in the hospital for 5 days. I went through a lot of physical therapy which did not help. Only after one hour of chan yang did my back feel completely healed! It was a miracle. Praise God!
