Thank you, and I love you!
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I’ve been sharing with leaders, and staff members, as well as during yesterday’s Sunday service. And though I can share many things, my conclusion is about two points, “thank you, and I love you!”
I will continue to move forward with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience.
I’ve been in America for 43 years, and the church mission is and always has been my lifeline. I really appreciate your families’ continued support. I am always inspired by your families and by our second generation. And I know you will continue to inspire me.
When we are around True Parents, sometimes we think we know them. But sometimes, we feel, do I really know True Parents? What do I really know about the Divine Principle?
I strongly believe this is the reason that True Father left us the tradition of Hoon Dok Hwe.
So we can remember True Parents’ message as scriptures. This is how we can understand the Messiah.
Some of us have a deep relationship with True Parents, and some of us, especially second generation, may not have had many such experiences directly with True Parents. That is why the best way to get to know them is through Hoon Dok Hwe. That is the way we can reach the heart of God, and the heart of True Parents.
This is an incredible tradition, where we can inherit from True Father and True Mother, and learn what to do to accomplish our mission and responsibility for the sake of America and the world.
Now True Mother gave us another chance. In this new mission, I don’t know for how long, but as I start this next mission, I feel I must fulfill it with humility. I cannot just focus on my own desires or my own understanding. So with prayer and Hoon Dok Hwe, I can move forward.
This is the conclusion I arrived at.
I’ve been praying that under the current circumstances, with so many challenges and difficulties around us, maybe a brand new spirit is needed to revitalize us in America, and be infused into our American movement, and then this new mission came.
As I mentioned at Sunday Service, I truly believe in the power of prayer. I had this experience at a young age, when I was constantly surrounded by prayerful members, and since then I strongly believe in prayer.
I also shared with you how I met God for the first time in the wilderness, while on the frontline. That is always the best place to meet God, so directly and clearly. As tribal messiahs, we are all on the frontline.
We now have another golden opportunity centered on True Mother, and once again we can recommit ourselves to do our best and invest all of ourselves for the sake of our Cheon Il Guk.
I want to once again thank Rev. Dunkley and his family for giving America their whole heart. The key, as you know, is devotion, and his devotion to the Providence and to absolutely unite with me for the sake of America is what allowed us to bring such a great offering to True Parents. So I feel really blessed.
True Mother also understood his leadership, and now gave him greater responsibility, raising his family to international leadership, so he can continue to serve the world.
I want to also thank Dr. Michael Balcomb and Rev. Richard Buessing, the two presidents of our movement that I had the pleasure of working with these past seven years. Thank you to all American leaders, Subregional Directors, District Pastors, State Leaders, Pastors and Leaders of the Affiliated Organizations, and once again, thank you to all American families for your support and dedication. I want to share my appreciation to the Japanese family members who have been so dedicated for the sake of America, and let us not forget the European family members, who came to America and invested their efforts here when True Parents called them.
This is the kind of commitment we all need, being willing to leave everything behind and offer what we can. This is an ongoing endeavor. Through Hoon Dok Hwe guiding us and prayer life giving us the power to conduct our daily activities, we can achieve it.
I heard True Mother’s own testimony many times, how best to have a fruitful life of faith, and as the scriptures teach us, we have to be grateful for everything. Gratitude is fundamental. This is how we can begin to understand True Parents and also understand Heavenly Parent.
I am now praying how I can start this mission according to True Mother’s ideas. I will continuously open my heart to hear True Mother’s way of thinking, not my way of thinking. Always when I offer to True Parents, I offer with this mindset. This is not mine. This is for True Parents, so True Mother can share her ideas and guidance, and our offering can be accepted.
Please continue to pray for True Mother, for the Providence and for our victory in America.
Thank you so much,
Dr. Ki Hoon Kim

Dear Dr. and Mrs. Kim. First, I met you when I was a very young and wild CARP member many years ago. You were an inspiration then and now. I know what devotion means when I see your faces. Secondly, your humor and strength through some very tough times indicate and exemplify your deep faith. Quietly, I look up to you. Now, I guess, I get the chance to say it publicly. Finally, you’re a good brother and man.

Dear Dr. and Mrs. Kim,
Thank you for your sacrifice and love for our Heavenly Parent and True Parents. My husband and I appreciate all of the hard work you did with the ministers, with our leaders and Blessed Families all over the country. You had a great responsibility here and we achieved many families to accomplish Cheon Bo, mission accomplished for Heavenly Parent, True Parent. Congratulations on your new mission. Mansei, victory for Heavenly Parent and True Mother.

Dear Archbishop Dr. Kim and Mrs. Kim,
My wife Mereth and I, including our daughter Katie have been blessed by your family attending True Parents, and through them our Heavenly Parent on behalf of us and the North American Family.
Mereth and I met you the first time in person back stage in the King Sejong Hall in Seoul after True Father’s 70th Birthday Celebration. The New Hope Singers International had just finished singing the Battle Hymn of the Republic when you came and thanked my wife and I with a surprise gift. I will always cherish you thinking of us over the years!
There is so much every day you have generously done for us and offered on our behalf to True Parents!!! Thank you!!!
And more…
What always came with it was your very kind and pleasant spirit, expressed in your warm, loving and wise face accompanied by an ever ready smile and frequent chuckle. Even your sternness has always been surrounded by warmth. How blessed we were and will continue to be!
Sincerely
Sebastian Huemer

Thank you Dr Kim for your leadership and service to America, and for your example. What I learn most from you when you speak is to remember the realm of heart I feel around True Parents, the heart of God and of Cheon Il Guk. That is what you carry with you. The environment of America is not that heart, and it is easy to lose that heart after returning to our environment. We need you for this most of all, in my opinion.
