Television
At the end of a long workday, many of us like to come home to our families and enjoy an hour in front of the television, getting our minds off our busy lives and taking a break with the stories we see on screen. We all have our favorite TV shows, which we watch week after week (or all at once on Netflix), and then feel a bit of emptiness once the season is over and we wait for a new one to begin, or seek to fill the gap by watching a new show altogether. Why are we so drawn to TV shows? What part of our lives does television grab onto, as we relate to sports, reality TV, fictional shows and TED talks? This week DP Life seeks to tap into this area of life—television—and look deeper into how we can use TV time to enjoy some of our core values in action.
Today, DP Life posted a list of TV shows that exhibit divine principles. What a better way to relax, enjoy a show, and experience the Divine Principle all at the same time? Read “Don’t Change That Channel” and see if you watch any of these shows already, or if you may be interested in adopting them into your leisure routine. Each of these shows has a unique spark of truth that can inspire us as much as they de-stress us.
Later this week, we will look into the World Cup and the Superman movies, so stay tuned for a refreshing point of view on all of your favorite TV pastimes!
