Share the Vision of True Parents
On the occasion of the 100th birthday of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) co-founder Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and the 77th birthday of FFWPU co-founder Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, affectionately known as True Parents, Unificationists and Christian clergy world wide honored and recognized this momentous milestone.
Over the years, Unificationists have observed True Parents’ birthday with a week full of peace conferences and festivities in Korea, commemorating and celebrating True Parents’ life-long mission and the Unificationist culture with thousands of people of different religious backgrounds, nationalities, and ethnicities, establishing the occasion as more than just a Unificationist holiday. Those who couldn’t attend the events in Korea were encouraged to participate in the local or regional-level celebrations across America. Many clergy testified to how True Parents’ work has led them to a deeper understanding of God. Participants who attended the celebrations were moved to see the hardships endured by True Parents on the journey of their life-long mission, as portrayed in the film “Chosen.” They persevered for the sake of a peaceful world, with True Mother continuing to advance the work she and True Father started together, after his ascension.
True Parents have built a legacy of peace and reconciliation centering on a family movement. As True Father once said, “The solution to world peace is to rebind the relationship between the Creator and each family.” Over the decades, world leaders have sent congratulatory remarks to True Parents for their contributions to a more peaceful global society.
Many parliamentarians, heads of state and representatives were in attendance at the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) World Summit 2020 Assembly in Korea, formulated to initiate dialogue on achieving peace between delegates, governments, religious organizations and civil societies. One guest speaker talked about the necessity of this dialogue in light of current world issues such as the wildfires in Australia and the coronavirus outbreak in China. “There is no better demonstration for how connected we all are than our willingness to assemble for peace here in Korea [amid the coronavirus outbreak].” The speaker continued by applauding True Parents’ courage and life-long dedication for peace, saying, “We should all share this vision, the vision that people across the planet can be brought together by working together.”
Other recognition include The Associated Press who featured a press release titled “Reverend Moon: A 100-Year Legacy of Peace,” remarking the festivities in Korea, as well as New York City’s Times Square, who wished True Parents a “Happy Birthday.”

Happy birthday True Parents. Thank you forever, and increasingly, thank you. May the day come when you can enjoy a 100 – year (or more) picnic, doing all the things you may have never or seldom, had a chance to do — painting? hand gliding? hiking in the mountains? white water rafting? writing symphonies? playing hide and seek with your grandchildren? planting orchards? — without a single worry about the world and human family, which will by then be fully healed or well on its way!

Lovely, Clark Eberly.
I will keep this marvelous image of your wish for True Mother when I awake in those wee dark hours of the morning. I think you have a poem in your well wishes, might you write it out?
