Rev. Richard Buessing Visits the Rhode Island Family Church
After attending Famicon 2018, Family Federation for a Heavenly USA President, Rev. Richard Buessing and his wife Marjorie visited the Rhode Island Family Church on March 18 to share about their experience and True Mother’s unexpected visit.
Rev. Buessing began his sermon with words from True Father, who prophesized that True Mother would become the foremost leader of the world. “Her most recent rallies in Korea, Japan, Thailand, America, and Senegal substantiate True Father’s prediction,” said Rev. Buessing. “It is because of our unity with True Mother and the dedication of Unificationists around the world that this was possible in such a short time.”
Rev. Buessing then spoke about his recent experience at Famicon 2018, where over 250 Unificationist leaders of all levels in America listened to Rev. Masayuki Kachi’s extensive lectures on True Parents’ life course. “This is content that we never heard or had forgotten over the years,” said Rev. Buessing. He continued, “Unificationists of all ages received the content with a lot of enthusiasm and spirit.”
It was a heart-moving week, culminating with True Mother coming to speak to the Famicon participants on the last day of the conference. Rev. Buessing shared about how she stepped onto stage with a warm smile, speaking from the side of the podium to elevate the intimacy with the Unificationist leaders. True Mother clearly stated that she and True Father are the only set of True Parents for all of eternity. She ended her message expressing her unwavering faith in the Unificationists of America, saying she sees the potential for America to expand the foundation True Parents have laid. This loving message struck a chord in everyone’s heart, as she received a standing ovation upon finishing her speech.
After listening to Rev. Buessing’s experience at Famicon, the Unificationists of the Rhode Island community felt empowered to attend a 7-day workshop at the International Peace Education Center (IPEC) or to embark on a pilgrimage to Korea. Almost all in attendance had never been to IPEC or Korea in many years.
The local Unificationists practiced unity with True Mother by first being united with one another, as they subsequently shared a delicious lunch with their national president and First Lady. They enjoyed corn beef and cabbage, prepared by Pastor Mark Beaudoin in the spirit of St. Patricks Day.
