In 1976 I began to study the teachings of Sun Myung Moon. I discovered that through conscientious practice of the things he taught, applying those teachings in my daily life, I became happier. When I met the members of this movement of Unification I was suffering from depression and anxiety. The spiritual practices, prayer, meditation and public service or living for the sake of others cured me of these afflictions over the course of several years. It became clear to me that by continually seeking my life’s purpose while applying these principles consistently, my life took on a deeper dimension of meaning and purpose. When I met this movement I was heartbroken, depressed and hopeless. Now my heart is full of love, hope and joy nearly all of the time. It all depends upon how seriously and sincerely you practice, but when we do our part of responsibility, God meets us much more than half way. This has been my life’s experience since I met Reverend and Mrs, Moon and began following their teachings over 44 years ago.
