New Jersey Mothers Group Holds Halloween Party
The New Jersey Mothers Group held its first Halloween party on October 24. The newly-formed Wednesday Moms’ Group is a fellowship of Unificationist mothers and their young children. Once a week, the young mothers of the community get together to share with one another and watch their children play. This time, an eclectic group of animals, monsters, firefighters, and superheroes were in on the fun.
Despite having hectic schedules, each of the women in the group worked together to make the party a success. Some brought food and refreshments for everyone, while others organized the activities– pumpkin decorating, a game called stop-dancing, and musical chairs.
A few of the women at the Halloween party were joining the Moms’ Group for the very first time. As women often do, they made the effort to ensure that each person felt welcomed to the group. In between activities, the partygoers discussed various ways they could support both one another and the young families in the greater New Jersey community. The Wednesday Moms’ Group plans to have many more get-togethers in the future.
Does your community have a story to share?

This Halloween party was a blast! We were bummed that we had to leave a little early, but so enjoyed our short time there! I’m so happy I have this community of like minded moms and that we have similar aged children that can all play, learn and grow together. Che is the mastermind behind the Mommy Play Group! She is so serving and attentive to everyone’s needs. Since a lot of us have talked about wanting to get more active, for our next meeting, we’re doing Zumba together (following a DVD) while the kids play :)
