It’s Time to Stand up with the Mother of Peace

The following message was given by Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, regional chairman of Family Federation North America, at Clifton Family Church in New Jersey on November 24, 2019.

First of all, I want to recognize Rev. Takami. He is always behind the scenes. Do you know where he came from? Hawaii. We all would like to be there in Hawaii, but instead he left Hawaii and came here to work toward True Mother’s rally at Newark Prudential Center on December 28. This is not just the same rally we previously had at Madison Garden and Nassau Coliseum. It’s not just Peace Starts With Me. True Father gave a very clear title for this December 28 rally, a 30,000 clergy rally for the sake of the new unified world.

After I heard the title for the rally two weeks ago, I realized how much True Mother is preparing to come to Newark on December 28 after a 40-day condition. We researched and studied the Divine Principle, and have always found that God’s providential number is 40. Four is the basic fundamental number in our providence of restoration. What is God’s purpose? It is to complete the four-position foundation. This is God’s purpose and our purpose of living in this era with True Parents. 

I really appreciate Rev. Takami going around working like a son of True Parents and a son of God. He came Saturday morning to the Prudential Center prayer condition. I arrived a little early, and there was only one man at the center circle. One brother was doing something at the center circle at Prudential Center and preparing this offering before God and True Parents. It was none other than Rev. Takami. Let’s give him one more big hand. He has a wife and five young children in Honolulu, and he left his home for the next 60 days to focus himself toward mobilization activities centering on ACLC here [in the tri-state area]. 

After yesterday’s meeting was over, I went back to the New Yorker and around six or seven in the evening I got a phone call from Bruce Grodner who is the ACLC Secretary-Genera. I have never heard such excitement from him as I did through that phone call. After the ACLC prayer breakfast meeting yesterday, he received a new inspiration. 

As I mentioned earlier in this service, my eyes see our family church members first, and then later I see the pastors. I don’t pay attention to the pastors first. So, I was very impressed with our dear families there, even Dr. Ang’s couple was there. I feel like we had a big victory today and we will have a victory on December 28. 

I asked Bruce Grodner what the secret was to how they brought 300 people to the prayer breakfast yesterday, standing room only. I was thinking about how they processed the online registrations. As Rev. Takami mentioned, it began very slowly and then they reached a peak the day before the event. They like to adopt this system. 

I got a call and he said, “We’d like to sign a contract for a big banquet center to host the next Brooklyn prayer breakfast.” He asked me if they could sign it? Why are they asking me to sign it? They are there, they have to sign it with confidence.

I was here last weekend, and I asked Rev. Agulan to hold a 300-pastors meeting. Without hesitation, he said, “No problem.” He is confident, and I trust him. I believe in him. I am inspired by this confidence. If you have the confidence, I will be behind you when you sign it. Money matter is secondary, the first matter is your confidence. He said, “I am confident.” Go ahead then, what are you waiting for? You already got God’s answer through your commitment. I believe God prepared December 28. True Mother prepared it and then she sent out a worldwide announcement for the 40-day special condition. 

This is a Cosmic 40 days for True Mother’s worldwide Blessing tour. Please join me on this condition through prayer in your home, fasting, and bowing, whatever condition you decide, let us participate in these 40 days of the Cosmic Canaan Course to unite. This is our portion of responsibility.

We are not just thinking about the physical capacity inside Prudential Center. With the live stream, we are reaching more than 100,000 people around this area, and more than 200,000 from around the world, Korea, Japan, and all of Europe and Africa. They are all joining together. For what? For True Parents’ worldwide Heavenly unified world. This is Heavenly Parent and True Parents asking us to join together. 

True Mother said this is a Cosmic course for the next 40 days. So, dear brothers and sisters, please let us join together. Let us give great testimonies to Heavenly Parent and True Parents.

Over the last three weeks, wherever I go I have been really sharing about absolute faith in True Parents and Heavenly Parent. Two weeks ago, they were surveying all kinds of situations and activities. They surveyed how many American families believe in God nowadays. A century ago, the number was more than 90. A decade ago, the number was 80. How about a decade later today? Can anybody guess? The number is 64. Please have hope. We have 64 now, but this number is going down. Ten years of people leaving church and leaving God. What is going to happen a decade later? Maybe less than 50. This is our situation today.

Do you remember the Yankee Stadium rally? Do you know what the title was that True Father gave in 1976? God’s Hope for America. This is the English translation, and I am thinking it’s really not correct. What did True Father originally say in Korean?

America is God’s Hope, not God’s Hope for America. Is it the same or is it different? That is True Father’s message. America is God’s Hope. How about now; 40 years later? We recall True Mother’s messages in every country she travels to very carefully. True Mother is saying the same thing True Father said 45 years ago at Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden and the Washington Monument rally. This is an emergency. What if an emergency came to you, or your family, or your community? What should be your first action? When there’s a fire in your house, what is your first reaction? Of course, you have to get out, but first you must shout “fire.” You have to scream and warn the others about the fire. You have to shout first, and then you have to run away.

This is the reason True Father and True Mother came as doctors and firefighters, telling people your house is burning down. This is the reason I came to America. Whether you like it or not, I am giving you Christianity is in crisis today.

What was the Divine Principle reading today? What is God’s purpose for raising Israel first? To build God’s Kingdom of Heaven on Earth together with the Israelites and Jesus. But, unfortunately, they turned away. What is the Divine Principle teaching us? God elected the second Israel. Why did God raise a second Israel? To welcome the Second Coming Messiah and together build the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Who is the second Israel? Christianity. Father said American Christianity. Christianity is equal to America. This is the reason the True Parents’ family moved to America, to save this country through saving Christianity.

In the beginning, True Mother and True Father went around and warned people about the new hope centering on God’s new message and True Parents. This is the True Parents’ family course here in America. This Divine Principle teaching is not just for the American people, it’s for the world and all of humanity. It tells the truth about God’s providence of restoration. This is the reason True Mother called a 30,000 clergy rally for the sake of the heavenly unified world.

We are losing power, and who can stop God from leaving us? We are now producing a very big fire. In America, nobody wants to go back to get the answers to our situations and problems.

This is True Mother’s calling. In 1974, at Madison Square Garden, True Father mentioned Christianity is in crisis and introduced the new hope centering on True Parents and new truth from God. In 2017, 43 years later, True Mother went back to Madison Square Garden on July 15. What did True Mother say? True Parents are the hope and the Only Begotten Daughter is the only hope for the sake of Christianity, and for the sake of this nation. 

This is God’s ongoing providence of restoration. We must stand up and we must shout. Nobody should turn their back on God and True Parents. This is our mission. Who is the third Israel? The Divine Principle mentions Korea, which means the Unification church is the third Israel. We have the responsibility of building God’s Kingdom on Earth with True Parents, because of this purpose, because of God’s purpose.

Bless central families are raised by True Parents and God. That is our purpose. The Unification church is the most clear. We have our destination and our purpose of life of faith in God and in True Parents. So, we must stand up with Christianity to save this country and save our nation and our people and the world.

True Mother keeps going and pushing on. I can see True Mother’s plan next year centering on this 30,000 clergy rally for the sake of a heavenly unified world. This is our responsibility. God raised humankind for 6,000 years, and, for the last 60 years, True Parents stood upholding this new teaching. We are very clear, more than anybody. As a Unification blessed central family, what is our goal? Today, True Mother is warning people that Christians don’t know about God and they don’t know about Jesus. That’s why they are falling down. They have lost their destination. They have lost their purpose. Why did God select and elect Christianity as the first Israel and second Israel and third Israel.

Four years ago, on Thanksgiving Sunday, I gave a sermon titled “Fear Not” to testify to True Parents. Do you see this dot? I put a dot in the center of this blank paper. The dot resembles a mustard seed. This is exactly what I showed you four years ago.

What did Jesus tell his disciples? If you have faith in me as small as a mustard seed, this much, you will move from this mountain to this mountain. 

Four years ago, everybody said to me, “Oh, Dr. Kim, we have definitely larger faith than a mustard seed.” How about today? You’re not clear? Because of that, we are struggling and suffering.

So, why do we not believe in God? Without God’s providence of restoration, without God’s representatives like 2,000 years ago with Jesus, and today True parents. Unless you believe in True Parents as the Second Coming Messiah, no one really understands God today. God sent his Only Begotten Son 2,000 years ago, but everyone they knew turned around and left. History is repeating itself. This is the vision True Father and True Mother are going around and trying to share. This is a revolutionary historical momentum. One historical day after another.

True Mother and True Parents are coming to Newark Prudential Center. This will be another opportunity to shout and scream and pray to keep God from leaving this country, America.

You know our situation is getting worse and worse. We have to stand up. No matter what. We must stand up for the sake of God and True Parents and this country America. Think about Africa. True Mother went back to Africa three times already. True Mother is on her way to Nigeria and Tanzania and South Africa again over the next two weeks. 

Bless this country where human beings originated from, the ones who endured the most suffering in the universe. God blessed America and True Parents blessed America. 43 years they stayed together with us. I am very proud of you know, our second generations, they stand up everywhere and they are leading a whole world of second-generation leaders. This is the work from True Parents over the last 40 years in America.

Father and Mother never lived in Korea for over 40 years. Only in America. This is another greatest blessing as American families to receive from True Parents. For the next 40 years, let us once again see to believe and move forward with greater unity with True Mother to achieve great victory. 

When we got together yesterday at Prudential Center, I saw tons of people lined up. Maybe we should have big, warm tents outside in the parking lot.

This is God’s plan. This is True Parents’ plan, and, as the hosting church and family members, let us lead people and bring God’s glory back to us and True Parents’ joy back to us.
