Message from the Executive Office: Spread the “Famicon Fever”
March 13, 2020
Dear Pastors and Community Leaders,
Thank you all for your tireless efforts in leading your communities to support the providence and True Parents’ work. We have had truly successful national and subregional Famicons. As agreed, the next step is taking this “Famicon Fever” to the local level!
In order to support you, resources were prepared for all communities to gather and conduct mini-Famicons over the next three Sundays.
However, as you know, the world is now facing a serious adjustment with the Coronavirus. True Mother has guided our communities worldwide to take the necessary steps and exercise caution to support the efforts to slow down the outbreak.
Compared with our brothers and sisters in Asia and Europe, the situation in the USA seems less urgent, but several states have already declared a State of Emergency, and the Federal Government is also taking measures to combat this outbreak. It is better for us to be proactive.
In regards to this weekend’s Sunday service, we are choosing to respect the general guidelines to avoid large gatherings, and stream live from New York City direct to everyone in their homes throughout the nation. This may be far simpler than asking all local communities to create their own stream. As it happens, several communities were planning on playing one or two of the recorded Famicon videos anyway.
In order to accommodate the varying time zones, our team will move our service this Sunday, March 15, to 11:00 a.m. EST. For those on the west coast it would be considered a breakfast service!
It will be streamed here: live.familyfed.org as well as on the FamilyFed Facebook page.
We will reassess next week according to the progress reports from the government. Above all, we want to ensure the safety and health of everyone. We want to be able to comfort True Mother and let her know that we are keeping everyone healthy, but also spiritually fit, as we maintain our spiritual practices through the advanced technology of our time.
Let’s continue to pray for True Parents’ health and continued well being, for the safety and health of our brothers and sisters worldwide, and for the recovery of all God’s children who have had to deal with this virus.
God bless you and your family,

Thank you for broadcasting a moving Sunday Service! I felt the nation connected. The talented multi-subregion band and singers was beautiful. Demian’s meaningful sermon gives us a lot to think about.
