Maryland Community Honors True Father’s Life

The New Hope Family Church in Bowie, MD celebrated True Father’s 7th Seonghwa Anniversary during Sunday Service on August 18.

The morning began with Dan Fefferman and the New Hope Band bringing the community together in song. Then, Makiko Taguchi and Jung Yeon Joo offered a captivating viola and keyboard piece by Tchaikovsky.

Pastor Jim Boothby gave a brief introduction before sharing videos of True Mother and from the Seonghwa Anniversary. Local Unificationists Libby Henkin, Joseph Taylor and Francis Marchitelli gave beautiful and stirring testimonies about their love for, and experiences with True Father.

The service ended with an offering table prepared by the community, which featured a Korean meal for True Parents and a hand-painted banner by the youth and young adult group. The community shared a delicious lunch.
